Making the Music
Rob Ball
Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
Rob Ball is a talented musician first & foremost and has been in a number of bands before joining Wireless. Rob is probably more known for playing Bass Guitar in the Oasis cover band 'Noasis'. moving on to playing Rhythm / Lead Guitar while singing backing vocals for a covers duo. Now Rob is the frontman for Wireless.
Phil Carnell
Lead Guitar
Phil Carnell is the sound of Wireless, using his synth board to re-create the song melodies and lead guitar solo's of the well known bands they cover. Phil is an established musician who has even built his own custom guitar. Being in the band since 2009, playing live shows all over the Midlands, Phil comes in to his own when on stage.
Matt Clarke
Bass Guitar
Matt Clarke has been the Bass player in Wireless since 2016. His love of different styles of music comes through his performance on stage, from funky bass lines to rock solid ones, whatever the style, he can play it.
Kev Wright
Drums & Backing Vocals
Kev Wright has been the drummer since 1995, way before this band were called Wireless. At just 18 years old he joined the band and never looked back. His passion for playing live is there for all to see and hear, whether its playing hard rock, soft ballads or a bit of funk, Kev has it all. As well as singing backing vocals, Kev has also been known to come to the front of the stage to sing several acoustic songs.
A Bit About Us
Wireless are a four piece Indie Rock covers band based in the Midlands. Originally formed over twenty years ago (going under another name back then) Wireless have gone from strengh to strength. Originally calling themselves 'Blaze', Wireless have always been a covers band, although changing their sound (and members) throughout the years.
Starting gigging in the late 90's Blaze had a line up of Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Drums to complement the musical style of 90's Indie and Brit Pop. From this original line up, Kev Wright on Drums is the only member still to be playing with the band.
After a few years, along came the arrival of Phil Carnell on Lead Guitar replacing the Keyboard, thus changing their sound from melodic Indie to a more raw, rockier sounding band that they are today. Matt Clarke and Rob Ball have completed the line up and Wireless are now one of the best covers bands you will hear in and around the Midlands.
