Rob Ball
Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
Rob Ball is a talented musician has honed his skills through various bands before joining Wireless. He gained recognition for his role as the bass in the Oasis cover band 'Noasis' and later transitioned to playing rhythm lead guitar while providing backing vocals in a covers duo. Today, Rob proudly takes on role of frontman for Wireless, showcasing his passion for music and performance. With his diverse background, he brings a unique energy to the stage that captivates audiences.
Phil Carnell
Lead Guitar
Phil Carnell is the sound of Wireless, masterfully using his synth board to bring to life the iconic melodies and lead guitar solos of the bands they cover. An accomplished musician, Phil has even crafted his own custom guitar, showcasing his dedication to his craft. Since joining the band in 2009, he has captivated audiences with live performances across the Midlands, truly shining when he takes the stage.
Matt Clarke
Bass Guitar
Matt Clarke has been the bass player for Wireless since 2016. Passion for diverse music styles shines through in his performances, effortlessly transitioning from funky bass lines rock-solid rhythms. No matter the genre, Matt's versatility ensures an engaging experience for every audience. His talent truly elevates the band's.
Kev Wright
Drums & Backing Vocals
Meet Kev Wright, the powerhouse drummer who has been with the band since 1995, Joining at just 18 years old, Kev’s passion for live performances shines through, whether he’s laying down hard rock beats, soft ballads, or groovy funk rhythms. His versatility is unmatched, and he also adds depth to the sound with his backing vocals. Kev truly brings the music to life!
A Bit About Us
Wireless are a four piece Indie Rock covers band based in the Midlands. Originally formed over twenty years ago (going under another name back then) Wireless have gone from strengh to strength. Originally calling themselves 'Blaze', Wireless have always been a covers band, although changing their sound (and members) throughout the years.
Starting gigging in the late 90's Blaze had a line up of Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Drums to complement the musical style of 90's Indie and Brit Pop. From this original line up, Kev Wright on Drums is the only member still to be playing with the band.
After a few years, along came the arrival of Phil Carnell on Lead Guitar replacing the Keyboard, thus changing their sound from melodic Indie to a more raw, rockier sounding band that they are today. Matt Clarke and Rob Ball have completed the line up and Wireless are now one of the best covers bands you will hear in and around the Midlands.
